I'm so fortunate to live in a province where the seasons change and each season creates a new and beautiful landscape. As the leaves turn from green to shades of red, orange and yellow, I love going for walks, exploring trails, and driving from one destination to another to take pictures of the beautiful foliage. Autumn colors are definitely my favorite; so vibrant and breathtaking!
Even though the temperatures start to get cooler and the daylight hours get shorter, autumn is full of fun activities. Harvesting vegetables from my garden, making preserves, collecting seeds and decorating my front door keep me busy and entertained.
We are surrounded by farms and orchards. Create a bucket list and go exploring! Getting up early on a Saturday morning to go to a farmer's market or apple picking is a fun way to get outside and enjoy an autumn day. Perhaps finding your way through a corn maize or going to a U-pick sunflower or pumpkin farm will be on your bucket list.
Autumn is the perfect time of year to visit a new destination, try a new adventure and support local businesses. Corn boils, pumpkin carving, making Halloween costumes and decorating are some of my favorite things to do during this beautiful season. What are yours?
